Medicen Paris Region accredits and supports collaborative R&D projects, which makes companies and institutions eligible for public funding.

From December 2005 to September 2009, Medicen Paris Region accredited 37 collaborative R&D projects, 33 of which received public funding through the Interministerial Fund (FUI) from the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry and local administrations.
In addition, the National Research Agency (ANR) allocated public funding to 97 projects accredited by Medicen Paris Region from 2005 to 2009.

Medicen Paris Region also supports the development of several infrastructure projects to spark development of new world-class R&D projects in the Paris Region, that are in line with the cluster’s objectives.
Eurocord (Umbilical Cord Blood Samples and Transplantation) and the Vision Institute (the only centre in Europe fully dedicated to ocular diseases) are two of them.

In 2009, Medicen Paris Region is supporting four candidate innovation platform projects in radiotherapy, biological resource centres, molecular & cell therapies and animal model research.
